Welcome back after the summer break! Looking forward to another exciting and busy year. Our Knowledge Exchange Partnership has finally got underway and things are developing nicely. We have also had approval from MMU for two CLIL training events -the first a one day conference on 3rd November, the second a much more ambitious affair - a one week training course for all teachers wanting to learn more about the potential for CLIL, sharing ideas and offering support for moving things forward. Our CLIL summer school will take place the week beginning 13th July 2016. We do hope many of you will join us and help to begin to develop a CLIL network to share good practice within the UK and the rest of Europe. As part of our KTP project working with a software company to develop a range of innovative and interactive game based materials to teach aspects of Mathematics through French, we are looking for school to trial these resources and be part of our research project, helping to identify best practice and look into the impact of a CLIL approach on children's mathematical knowledge and understanding and their language learning. You can also have access to our Associate who can help you embed these materials into your school and practice. And what's more it's all free! Come and be involved in something that can really help make a difference to what and how our children learn!
